A case was registered against Dosti Builders for carryifng out digging work near Lloyds Estate using heavy machinery such as vibrators, despite knowing that the same can be dangerous for the land and existing buildings.Mumbai: The Antop Hill police has registered a case against the owner, the chairman, and the director of Dosti Realty Company, and a few civic officials, after a portion of the wall at an apartment complex in C and D wing of Lloyds Estate, Wadala (east), collapsed at 4am on Monday due to heavy rain since Sunday night. Meanwhile, residents of the C and D wing – who have been asked to evacuate the premises - accused the BMC of not taking appropriate action against Dosti Builders. Trees are the life of everybody.Interestingly, one can observe the stationary trees get transformed into sacred beings, almost magically, through the depictions in these paintings. It is currently being organised at the Ojas Art Gallery. On the other hand, there is also a lot of meaning hidden in its existence. These artists depict trees in a very ornate and celebratory form.” When asked about whether these artworks are a part of the ongoing environmental crisis movement, she hints that there is a possibility of that being true. As artist Bhajju Shyam rightly states, “Ped jeewan hai” (trees are life), the artworks put up also represent the strong spiritual connection that exists between trees and the artists. There is so much of emphasis on trees in India. Devyani elaborates, “The idea is all around us.When the subject of trees pops up, the first thing that comes to one’s mind is the relationship that exists between plants and animals. For a tribal community, trees mean everything.
